Our Purpose

Knowledgeable in Subject Area:

We are local tutors who have mastered our specific subject areas and have the experience to lead students into understanding.  We have served as teachers in both private and public classrooms or have years of private tutoring experience.  

We work one-on-one with students to go beyond reviewing content, to strengthening the students' ability to identify the key information and bring it to mind. The ultimate goal of tutoring a student is to equip them with skills and strategies to be successful independently moving forward in their academic career.

Unified In Christian Faith:  

We are unified in our conviction that our Father has chosen us to carry out the Great Commission while working with all our heart as unto the Lord (Col. 3:23) so that God’s kingdom may be manifested in our respective sphere of influence, all in accordance with the good works God has prepared in advance for us to do (Eph. 2:10).

Personalized Tutoring

Every student is unique.  We take the time to match each student with the tutor who best fits their academic needs, learning style, and personality.

We are happy to meet your student at the public library.  We do not go to homes or meet privately.

Scheduling is on a first come, first served basis. Tutoring sessions are 1 hour long.  We encourage you to schedule dates and times when you see them available, as we are unable to ‘hold sessions'.

Our Policies

Thank you for scheduling those sessions you plan to attend and limiting the reschedule for the rare and necessary occasion.  Rescheduling is taxing for your tutor who commits only a limited number of hours to supporting students one-on-one each week. 

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy:  No cancellations or refunds, but reschedules may be available, subject to Tutor Availability.  If there is no availability and you are absent from your originally scheduled tutoring session, you will not receive a refund or the ability to reschedule.

If you wish to reschedule your tutoring, you must do so using the reschedule link in the email provided to you upon booking at least 48 hours prior to your tutoring appointment.  If you do not reschedule tutoring more than 48 hours in advance and you are absent from your originally scheduled tutoring, you will not receive a refund or the ability to reschedule.  All reschedules must be scheduled in the same semester. 

Tutors Unified will refund you the cost of the session in the event the tutor cancels.
